Kids love cereals! You just can’t deprive kids of what they like! But why feeding kids junk cereals when you can give them whole grain ones?!
A bowl of whole grain cereals is all your kids need for their cognitive and physical abilities to skyrocket.
For breakfast, grab a bowl, whole grain cereals, a handful of fruits, dried and /or raw, pour in some milk. And there you go! You have just made a meal full of all they need to kick off the day.
Okay! Kids die for smoothies! Anythings that’s sweet and drinkable, kids go crazy over it! You can use that to your advantage and serve them with a healthy smoothie that contains all the nutrients they need to a day of wow!
All you need to make a yummy and healthy smoothie is a banana, milk or orange juice, and vanilla yoghurt. For toppings and extra touches, you can try nuts or dried fruits.
You can serve those between the meals or for breakfast.
3. Yogurt With Berries
All that mentioned above require some time and effort! Not that much! But still there is sweat included! This one you don’t need to move a leg to get it done.
All you have to do is simply grab a yogurt (low fat). Get a handful of mixed berries. Mix everything. Serve it that way or better yet put it in the freezer for an hour or two. And boom! There you have it! The best and healthiest ice cream snack!
4. Sweet Potatoes Chips
As you can see here, all the snacks are something kids die for. We just make simple adjustments that will get kids to love the snack and at the same time help them grow into super healthy dudes!
Chips are something you don’t need an introduction for. You know how kids love those.
But instead of serving those greasy chips, there is this alternative. Sweet potatoes baked chips are the best alternative to regular chips!
They are healthy and packed up with the healthiest nutrients, including vitamin A, B6 and C.
5. Peanut Butter
I love peanut butter! Who doesn’t?! This is one of the childhood best memories. And I guess no child says no to this sweet yet healthy snack.
You can serve it on top of a whole wheat bread toast, mix it with a handful of raspberries along with a low fat yoghurt. Put it in the freezer. Wait a few minutes. And treat your kids for a frozen healthy ice cream.
Peanut butter is packed up with fiber and protein. Adding some fruits and a low fat yogurt to it will definitely make for a great healthy treat.
Healthy Snacks For Work
1. Whole Wheat Crackers with Peanut Butter On Top
When Peanut Butter and Whole Wheat Crackers meet up together, your mouth can’t help but salivate. That’s a no brainer.
I know you know! But what’s interesting and you probably don’t know is Whole Wheat Crackers and Peanut Butter make one of the healthiest snacks out there.
A combination of three most important nutrients or micronutrients. Protein, carbs and fiber. These can be found with abundance in one and only healthy snack, Whole Wheat Crackers and Peanut Butter.
This healthy snack recipe is so easy. In fact, you don’t even need to be a chef to get this recipe to rock!
That’s the best thing about snacks. No need to be an expert to prepare them.
Grab 10 or even 12 of those whole wheat crackers and and apply a little peanut butter on top. Put those in a container and take them with you to work.
With less than 193 calories, you can keep yourself full and energetic throughout the day.
2. Fruits Are unbeatable:
Nothing can beat fruits. These don’t require you to move a single pan or liter your sink with plates. All you have to do is simply get your favorite fruit combinations and take them with you for a day full of energy and vitality.
And a good idea to start your day with is a bowl of those, with a cup of lowfat milk. Eating those will give your metabolism a kick start.
And throughout the day, every cell of your body can’t help but produce loads of energy!
Another healthy snack very similar to fruits is nuts. I prefer all kinds of nuts, especially when they are all mixed up.
Nuts are rich in healthy fats and protein, magnesium, fiber and many other healthy nutrients. Keeping a handful of nuts right beside your desk throughout the day is really a smart way to trick your stomach into thinking you have eaten a cow or two! Exaggerating, right!
But seriously, nuts are great way to your appetite.
One thing to take care of though is the amount of calories in nuts. Almonds for instance are packed up with calories. In one ounce of almonds, there is more than 160 calories.
So make sure you take those with a bit of caution!
I just love waffles. When I first started going on a diet, that was one of the things I missed so much...
But now, I consider those a great healthy snack choice. And the best of all is that they are yummy and easy to make.
I simply throw a waffle or two in the toaster and give it a good paint of organic chocolate, raspberry preserve and cottage cheese!
5. Chocolate-Hazelnut Graham With Strawberries On Top
This one has all the traits I love about snacks. It is very easy to make. Painted with the sweet chocolate-hazelnut. Additionally, it has strawberry as topping. Two of my all time favourites.
Try this out and i am sure you will love.

Healthy Snacks For Weight Loss
1. Have A Protein Shake With You
Protein shakes don't even have to be mentioned. They are known among all of us. These are all time desired. They are easy to make, digest and most of all they are packed up with all the body needs to function at its peaks.
Protein comes in a variety of types. So do shakes. But one still tops up the list. Whey protein. Whey protein shakes are shown in many studies that they help so much with weight loss.
All you need to have to prepare a whey protein shake is a scoop of whey powder, milk, a healthy sweetener such as stevia, and some ice cubes. Blend everything and get yourself a good cup of this magica drink and hunger will never be around for hours!
2. Pears With Paint Of Ricotta Cheese
This is one of the easiest healthy snacks to always take if you worry about your weight, have less or no time to prepare meals and or want to never feel hungry in between the meals.
It is very simple to make yet it has more nutrients to offer you than you probably think. Pear, especially their peel, are great anti inflammatories.
As for ricotta cheese, it is rich in protein.
The two combined make a great healthy snack that no one can resist.
3. Turkey Roll-ups
This AuthorityNutrition recipe is just wow!
Protein is very critical to weight loss. But what’s even more important to bear in mind is eating protein in chunks. That’s why snacking on protein is a great way to speed up your weight loss.
Spacing out your protein intake throughout the day is what helps your muscles to soak it up way more efficiently than if consumed at one shot.
So let’s jump into the making of the turkey recipe.
Here is what you will need to get it done.
- 4 slices turkey breast.
- 4 teaspoons cream cheese.
- 4 pickles or cucumber strips.
First, stretch the turkey breast slices on a large plate. On each slice, spread evenly a teaspoon of cream cheese. On top of each turkey slice, have a strip of cucumber strip. And then, roll that up.
4. Canned Fish
Fish is a great source of both protein and omega-3 healthy fats. Unfortunately, if you want to cook fish yourself, it takes sometime. And in a busy world we live it, a few minutes are never to waste on something we can grab already prepared and ready to be eaten.
Salmon or sardines cans are two great healthy fish snacks. You can have them with you wherever you go. No sweat. No stinky odor. Everything is already prepared. All you are left with is to simply open the can and enjoy a good shot of healthy nutrients that will extend your hunger to more hours to come.
5. Yoghurt And Berries
Who can resist such a yummy snack! I don’t know about you, but I myself can’t resist such yummy temptation.
Greek yogurt, mixed with berries, strawberries and or blueberries, is one of the best healthy choices to snack on.
Glass jar with homemade granola and yogurt served with nuts, raspberries and blackberries over white textile
Eating a Greek yogurt in between two meals will keep you full and healthy. To give the yoghurt an extra layer of joy, add the fruits and leave your body bubble with energy throughout the day.
Your metabolism of course will get a punch in the stomach and can’t help but speed up shedding those poor extra pounds hanging tight to your sexy body.
Healthy Late Night Snacks
1. Frozen Blueberries
These are amazing, in summer especially!
Waking up at night or simply staying up late, we would often fall prey to the temptation of getting more sugar. One of the best ways to take advantage of late night sugar cravings and at the same time keep your weight at watch is to have a cup of two of frozen berries.
In addition to their sweetness, berries are rich in many nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants. If you are afraid to screw your diet with a late night ice cream, I advise you to keep those frozen berries in you fridge always.
2. Yogurt Cubes
This simple and delicious recipe is one of my favourites. This another one you can try out in summer late nights.
The idea is to simply make frozen smoothie cubes. Just blend any fruit of your choice with milk or real orange juice.
Once the mixture is thick and well blended, pour it in the ice cube tray and let it freeze for a couple of hours. You have many of those and just leave there. So, whenever you feel hungry at night, go grab one or more
These are healthy no need to worry about your weight or waist but that’s an invitation to eat like a vampire ha!
If your appetite usually goes wild at night, a simple solution to suppress it is snacking on stone-ground sesame crackers.
These are light on the stomach but they do wonders to your appetite.
I personally eat them without any toppings but you have a lot of choices in your disposal. Organic chocolate, peanut butter, almond butter, cheese and even hummus.
4. Dark Chocolate
Look! I know you seeing chocolate here among the best late night healthy snacks is shocking!
But I beg you. Before running away like crazy, I just want you to know that I am not talking about crappy chocolate here.
I am talking about organic and dark chocolate. The darker the chocolate the healthier. Dark chocolate is one of the best antioxidants out there. Sweet, yummy and healthy! What else do you want?!
But hey, no more than three to four pieces!
5. Dried Fruits
Out of the all the four mentioned above, I recommend you stick to dried fruits. They are healthy and filling. Period!
To sum up, healthy snacking is a habit. And every habit needs some effort at first. But once you are used to it, it becomes almost automatic. The same thing applies for healthy snacks. You will have to struggle at first. But once you are used to those, you will never again go back to your old junk snacks.
